On Tuesday 12th August 2024, the NGO Delegation and Communities Delegation co-hosted a webinar on The Malaria Landscape: Opportunities & Challenges Ahead
The session started with an introduction from Louis da Gama, Communities Delegation Board member and was followed by the following presentations:
- The Unitaid Secretariat, Kelsey Barrett, Technical Manager, Strategy Team and Dr. Jan Kolaczinski, Senior Technical Manager Strategy Team, spoke to Unitaid’s malaria pipeline for 2024 onwards and provided an overview of the key opportunities and challenges for each of the areas they will be investing in – see their presentation here.
- Olivia Ngou, Executive Director & founder Impact Sante Afrique (ISA) spoke to the critical role of Civil Society and Communities in the malaria response
- Dr Olusola Oresanya, Nigeria Country Technical Coordinator for Malaria Consortium, spoke to current opportunities & challenges in the malaria response focusing on Chemoprevention
